Robin Lieberman, MSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Robin has been practicing psychotherapy in Portland for over thirty years.
Initially trained as a child and family therapist in the psychodynamic tradition, Robin has continued to broaden and deepen her experience and skills through further training in Gestalt therapy theory, contemporary psychoanalysis, Collaborative Couple Therapy™, anthroposophy, and Hatha yoga, and currently as a student of the Sri Sri School of Yoga™ Teacher Training (part of the Art of Living Foundation™).
Robin trained for four years with the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Los Angeles. She was also a student and co-trainer at Portland Gestalt Therapy Training Institute. She has furthered her study in Collaborative Couple Therapy™ through a training group and seminars.
More recently, Robin has combined her life-long passion — artistic painting — with her enthusiasm for the healing power of the psychotherapeutic relationship and now offers therapeutic painting as a treatment option.
Robin uses her skills drawn from these rich traditions to provide a dynamic, compassionate, and individualized approach to working with her clients, including individual adults, couples, children, teens, and families in transition.
Robin has also served as a guest instructor for:
Portland State University’s philosophy class, The Work of Art
Anthroposophy Club students at the National University of Naturopathic Medicine
Corvallis Waldorf School’s teacher in-service weeks
